It is advisable to check with the cruise line or consult a travel agent to confirm the specific perks and privileges included in your booking. It’s important to check with each cruise line for specific information on the availability and pricing of 5 person rooms. Additionally, some luxury and boutique cruise lines may also have options for larger accommodations, although they may be limited. Consulting with a travel agent can be helpful in finding the best cruise line that suits your group’s needs.

I was searching for a getaway in November, so I booked a seven-day cruise on Carnival Legend for my family of five.

"They can find something but it won't be perfect. Even connecting cabins go fast. There are not as many of them as people think there are." If you cannot book a large cat 9 aft cabin, even a cat11 is going to be tight for four adults and a toddler. There are many cruises that you can get 2 connecting cat8s for the price of one cat 11.

Junior Suite (Obstructed View)

For travelers looking for cheap cruises for a family of five, Carnival provides a lower-priced vacation option than expensive Disney. Its Dream-class ships offer Deluxe Oceanview cabins that sleep five with two upper bunks and a sofabed; the downside is mom and dad will be forced into twin beds to accommodate. These rooms have two bathrooms -- a standard shower-only bathroom and a smaller half-bath with a sink and small shower-tub combo. Remember to consider the size, layout, and amenities offered in 5 person rooms. Research the cruise lines that offer these rooms, such as Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, and MSC Cruises.

Are there any interior rooms that are larger than the Premium Interior Rooms?

Balcony cabins typically measure around 185 square feet, not including the veranda area, which often measures 35 square feet. A Carnival Excel Corner Suite aboard Mardi Gras features tons of indoor space, plus a large wraparound balcony with lounge chairs and an al fresco dining table, for when you need a little more space. Back inside this impressive room you’ll find a king-size bed, deluxe bathroom, plus a living room featuring a wet bar.

Interior Staterooms

On the Paradise, I would suggest going with a suite...unless grandma and grandpa are younger and don't mind sleeping in bunk beds. I have heard of them bringing in an additional bed...roll away style...for the 5th/3rd person depending on cabin type. We are definitely 2 connecting rooms cruisers, but the possible cruise that I am currently researching might include my sibling and family (2A,3K).

For larger groups, connecting staterooms are available. However, for those in connecting rooms, the doors are not soundproof so the TV or loud conversations can be disturbing for the adjoining room. Carnival Elation Grand Suites are also a good pick for families – they can sleep up to 5 guests and feature seating areas and large balconies. Any ship built 2000 or before, you can put 5 in a quad cabin. Unfortunately these are smaller cabins than on ships built later on, but 5 to a cabin was grandfathered in. If you dont mind sharing one bathroom and not having floor space when the roll away is set up, these work.

Carnival Elation Suites Offer Even More Space and Upgraded Amenities

Booking a 5 person room on a cruise ship allows families and larger groups to enjoy a memorable vacation together. With the criteria, cruise lines, room categories, additional amenities, and booking tips discussed in this article, you are now well-equipped to find the perfect accommodations for your group. Balcony staterooms were designed for maximum sea breeze and the most stunning views, so look to a balcony if you're looking to cruise aboard Carnival Paradise. Any time you're in your room, you're just steps away from your own personal outdoor oasis, featuring the sort of sea view you can also feel. These include a variety of bed configurations, seating areas with love seats, coffee tables, desks with chairs, nightstands, closets and spacious balconies with chairs and tables.

Plus there’s truly nice-to-haves like a dining area and two TVs — one in the sleeping area and one in the living space. Your room also features extra space for kicking back, ocean-breeze-style, on your balcony featuring lounge chairs and an al fresco dining table. Oceanview cabins on Carnival ships can sometimes be bigger than inside cabins and even bigger than balcony cabins (when comparing their interior space). On Carnival Panorama, some oceanview cabins measure 185 square feet — the same as inside cabins.

Categories

Exploring the different categories of cabins on a Carnival cruise, I discovered that there are specialty options for Interior rooms that offer unique perks and benefits. These cabins are designed to cater to specific needs and preferences of guests, and offer a more personalized experience on the ship. Keep in mind that some staterooms and features are exclusive to specific ships, so be sure to check out the amenities on board the ship you choose. You’ll sleep well knowing you’ve chosen the right spot for snoozing while cruising.

I have a digital clock with two USB ports so for the space of the one plug-in that the clock took we could charge two electronic devices and know the time. We had to set the clock so both Hannah in the bed over the couch and me in the lone one could see the clock at night because that’s the way we roll and nobody else cared. Other spaces on the power strip were used to charge other devices or camera batteries, whatever was needed at the time.
